Vincent Bouget

Vincent Bouget is a French politician and educator serving as the Mayor of Nîmes since 2026. A member of the French Communist Party, he previously worked as a history and geography teacher in Sarcelles and Nîmes. His political career includes serving as a departmental councilor for the Gard and as the leader of the municipal opposition in Nîmes. Bouget is known for his commitment to social justice and civic rights, drawing inspiration from historical figures like Jean Jaurès and Nelson Mandela. He also serves as the president of Nîmes Métropole.
