Violeta Alexandru is a Romanian politician who currently serves as a member of the Senate of Romania. She previously held significant government positions, including Minister of Labour and Social Protection in the Orban cabinets from 2019 to 2020, and Minister Delegate for Social Dialogue in the Cioloș government from 2015 to 2017. Before entering high-level politics, she worked in the presidential administration and held leadership roles at the Institute for Public Policy and the NGO Asociación Pro Democracia.
