Virginijus Sinkevičius is a Lithuanian politician currently serving as a Member of the European Parliament and deputy chair of the Greens–European Free Alliance group. Previously, he served as the European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries from 2019 to 2024, becoming the youngest-ever European Commissioner at age 28. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Seimas and served as Lithuania's Minister of the Economy and Innovation. He is known for his focus on environmental sustainability, digital transformation, and economic policy.
