Visvin Gopal Reddy is a South African politician and businessman who serves as a member of the National Assembly representing the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party. Born in 1970 in Durban, he began his political career in 1993 as a founding member of the Minority Front. Over the following decades, he held various roles in local government, including as a councillor in the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, and was affiliated with the Democratic Alliance and the African National Congress. Known for his involvement in civic activism, he founded the lobby group People Against Petrol and Paraffin Price Increases. In 2024, he aligned with the MK party, subsequently becoming its provincial leader in KwaZulu-Natal and securing a seat in the national parliament.
