Vladimir Kolokoltsev is a Russian politician and former police officer who has served as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation since May 2012. He began his career in the Soviet police force in 1982, eventually rising through the ranks to become the Moscow Police Commissioner in 2009. Throughout his tenure as Minister, he has overseen significant reforms within the Russian law enforcement structure, including the integration of various units into the National Guard. He holds a Doctor of Sciences degree in Law and has been subject to international sanctions by the United States since 2018.
