Willemijn Aerdts is a Dutch politician and academic serving as the State Secretary for the Digital Economy and Digital Sovereignty in the Jetten cabinet since February 2026. A member of the Democrats 66 (D66) party, she previously served as a member of the Senate from 2023 to 2026. Prior to her political career, Aerdts was a lecturer and researcher at Leiden University, specializing in intelligence and security services, and she chaired the Els Borst Network, the women's wing of D66, from 2021 to 2023.
