William Brisson

William Brisson is an American politician serving as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing the 22nd district since 2007. Originally elected as a Democrat, he switched his party affiliation to the Republican Party in 2017, citing the increasing liberal direction of the Democratic Party and the rural character of his constituency. Throughout his tenure, he has held various leadership roles, including serving as Chair of the Appropriations Committee. Brisson has announced his intention to retire from the legislature at the end of his current term in December 2026.
