William Richardson Timmons IV is an American politician, prosecutor, and Air Force officer serving as the U.S. representative for South Carolina's 4th congressional district since 2019. Before his election to Congress, he served in the South Carolina State Senate from 2016 to 2018 and worked as an assistant solicitor in the 13th Circuit. A graduate of George Washington University and the University of South Carolina, Timmons has focused his legislative career on national defense, school choice, and government efficiency. He is a member of the Republican Party and currently serves on the House Financial Services and Oversight committees.
