Willie O'Dea

Willie O'Dea is an Irish politician who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Limerick City constituency since 2011, having previously represented Limerick East from 1982 to 2011. A member of the Fianna Fáil party, he held several ministerial roles, including Minister for Defence from 2004 to 2010. Before entering politics, he worked as a barrister and an accountant, and lectured in law at University College Dublin and the University of Limerick. Throughout his long parliamentary career, he has been a prominent figure in Limerick politics, frequently advocating for regional development and addressing local issues such as crime and infrastructure.
