Paschal Donohoe

Paschal Donohoe is an Irish economist and former politician who served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dublin Central from 2011 to 2025. During his political career, he held several high-profile cabinet positions, including Minister for Finance and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform. He also served as the President of the Eurogroup from 2020 to 2025. Known for his centrist and technocratic approach, Donohoe prioritized fiscal prudence and institutional stability. In November 2025, he resigned from his government roles to become the managing director and chief knowledge officer at the World Bank.
