伊藤祐三

Yuzo Ito is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Komagane in Nagano Prefecture. Born in Ina, he graduated from Chuo University's Faculty of Law and spent several decades working as a journalist for the Mainichi Shimbun and Kyodo News. He entered politics in 2020, winning his first mayoral election, and was re-elected in 2024. During his tenure, he has focused on progressive social policies, including the introduction of a partnership oath system for same-sex and common-law couples in 2022.
