Yasmin Catley

Yasmin Catley is an Australian politician serving as the Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism and the Minister for the Hunter in the New South Wales government. First elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the member for Swansea in 2015, she previously served as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition and held various shadow ministry portfolios. Before entering politics, she worked as a librarian and in the offices of federal Labor MPs. Catley has been a prominent figure in state policy, overseeing significant gun law reforms and defending police conduct during high-profile public protests.
