Yasmin Trudeau

Yasmin Trudeau is an American lawyer and politician serving as a member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 27th legislative district since 2021. Appointed by the Pierce County Council to fill a vacancy, she was subsequently elected to the position in 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Trudeau has focused on legislative efforts including the recognition of Islamic holidays such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha within the state. Her career prior to the Senate includes legal practice, and she holds degrees from The Evergreen State College and Seattle University School of Law.
