Yasuhiko Kuriyama is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Asakuchi, Okayama Prefecture. Born in 1954, he began his career in the private sector at Kuriyama Seibaku before entering politics. He served one term as a member of the Okayama Prefectural Assembly starting in 2003. After an initial unsuccessful bid for mayor in 2006, he was first elected as Mayor of Asakuchi in 2010 and has since secured five consecutive terms, including a victory in the 2026 election. In addition to his mayoral duties, he serves as the chairman of the Okayama Prefectural Mayors Association.
