岡本康宏

Yasuhiro Okamoto is a Japanese politician and dentist currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Aichi 5th district. Born in Nagoya, he graduated from Aichi Gakuin University's School of Dentistry and later completed his studies at the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine. Before entering politics, he worked as a dentist at Komaki City Hospital, served in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and held a position at the Toyama Prefectural Government. After an unsuccessful bid in the 2021 general election and a withdrawn candidacy in 2024, he was elected to the House of Representatives in February 2026. Following his election, he joined the Aso faction of the Liberal Democratic Party.
