竹村健

Yasushi Takemura is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ritto City in Shiga Prefecture. Born in 1965 in Ritto, he initially worked in his family's gasoline station business and was active in local youth chamber activities. He began his political career as a member of the Shiga Prefectural Assembly, where he served three terms starting in 2014. In 2022, he was elected as the Mayor of Ritto with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito, assuming office in November of that year.
