Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath is an Indian politician and Hindu monk serving as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh since 2017. Born Ajay Mohan Singh Bisht, he is the head priest of the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur. Before his tenure as Chief Minister, he served as a Member of Parliament for the Gorakhpur constituency for five consecutive terms starting in 1998. Known for his staunch Hindu nationalist ideology and social conservatism, he has focused his administration on law and order, agricultural reforms, and infrastructure development within the state.
