吉田忠智

Tadatomo Yoshida is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors. A former leader of the Social Democratic Party, he transitioned to the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan in 2020. Throughout his career, he has served as an Oita Prefectural Assembly member and held various leadership roles within labor unions. Yoshida is known for his opposition to constitutional revision, particularly Article 9, and his support for progressive social policies, including the introduction of selective separate surnames for married couples and the legalization of same-sex marriage. He was re-elected to the House of Councillors in 2025 representing the Oita constituency.
