Daijiro Harada is a Japanese politician and physician serving as a member of the House of Councillors. Born in Kurashiki, Okayama, he graduated from the Ehime University School of Medicine in 2003 and subsequently built a career as a medical doctor, specializing in cancer chemotherapy and earning a doctorate in medicine from Okayama University. Before entering politics, he served as a department head at the Shikoku Cancer Center. In 2025, he was elected to the House of Councillors as a proportional representative for Komeito, succeeding Hiroshi Yamamoto. He is recognized for his focus on medical policy, including efforts to address physician shortages and improve cancer care.
