岩村良一

Yoshikazu Iwamura is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Niigata Prefectural Assembly, representing the Shibata City and Kitakanbara District constituency. First elected in 1999, he is currently serving his sixth term in office. He previously served as the 97th Chairman of the Niigata Prefectural Assembly. Throughout his career, Iwamura has held various leadership roles within the Liberal Democratic Party's prefectural branch, including Policy Research Council Chairman and Youth Bureau Chief. His legislative focus includes regional economic development, agricultural policy, and the promotion of local industries, including efforts to register the Sado Gold and Silver Mine as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
