Seo Young-kyo is a prominent South Korean politician currently serving as a four-term member of the National Assembly representing Jungnang-gu (A) in Seoul. A graduate of Ewha Womans University, she began her career as a student activist and later served as the head of the Chunchu-gwan at the Blue House during the Roh Moo-hyun administration. Throughout her legislative career, she has been a vocal advocate for social justice and legal reform, notably initiating the 'Taewan Law' to abolish the statute of limitations for murder cases and the 'Sarang Law' to assist unmarried fathers with birth registration. She has held various leadership roles within the Democratic Party, including Supreme Council member and floor spokesperson, and currently chairs the Legislation and Judiciary Committee.
