Yuli Edelstein

Yuli Edelstein is an Israeli politician and a long-serving member of the Knesset. A prominent former Soviet refusenik who spent time in Siberian penal colonies for his activism, he emigrated to Israel in 1987. Throughout his political career, he has held several high-profile positions, including Minister of Immigrant Absorption, Minister of Information and Diaspora, Minister of Health, and Speaker of the Knesset from 2013 to 2020.
