Солод, Юрий Васильевич

Yuriy Solod is a former Ukrainian politician who served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine for the VIII and IX convocations. Born in 1972 in the Luhansk region, he built a career in the metals industry before entering parliament in 2014 as a representative of the Opposition Bloc. He was later re-elected in 2019 representing the Opposition Platform — For Life party. In February 2023, he resigned from his parliamentary mandate amid controversy regarding his citizenship and activities during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
