Yutaro Minohara is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Yame City in Fukuoka Prefecture. Born in Onojo, he spent his youth in Yame and later graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Hokkaido University in 2015. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career as a bureaucrat at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, where he worked on energy policy and carbon neutrality initiatives. He also studied at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, earning a Master of Science in regional policy. In November 2024, he was elected as the youngest mayor in Fukuoka Prefecture, running as an independent candidate.
