Zara Leghissa

Zara Leghissa is a Swedish politician and member of the Riksdag, representing Norrbotten County since September 2022. A member of the Social Democratic Party, she also serves on the municipal council in Boden Municipality. Before entering national politics, she worked as a nursing assistant in a nursing home and was active on the board of the Northern Sweden branch of the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO). She has emphasized the importance of bringing professional experience from the workforce into the legislative process.
