Ziya Altunyaldız is a Turkish politician and bureaucrat currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing the province of Konya. Born in 1963 in Bozkır, he holds degrees from Istanbul University and has pursued advanced studies in the United States and the United Kingdom. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the public sector, serving as an expert at the State Planning Organization, Undersecretary of Customs, and Trade Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in London. Since his election to parliament, he has held significant leadership roles, including chairing the Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology, and serving as the head of the AI and Human Rights Subcommittee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
