Ziya Altunyaldız is a Turkish politician and bureaucrat currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly for Konya. Born in 1963, he holds a law degree from Istanbul University and advanced degrees in international business and trade law from institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. Before entering politics, he held various high-level positions in the State Planning Organization and the Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade, eventually serving as the Undersecretary of Customs and Trade. Since his election to parliament in 2015, he has chaired the Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology and has been active in international parliamentary forums, including the Council of Europe's subcommittee on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights.
