Zweli Mkhize

Zweli Mkhize is a South African politician and medical doctor currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly. A veteran of the anti-apartheid struggle and former commander in Umkhonto we Sizwe, he has held several high-profile government positions, including Minister of Health, Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, and Premier of KwaZulu-Natal. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure within the African National Congress, serving as its Treasurer-General and provincial chairperson.
