Adam Thompson

Adam Thompson is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Erewash since 2024. Before entering national politics, he worked as a research scientist in manufacturing engineering and was a union representative for the University and College Union. A trained teacher and metrologist, Thompson holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham. In Parliament, he serves on the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee and as a parliamentary private secretary to the Home Office. He is known for his focus on local community issues, including housing and infrastructure, and has advocated for policies such as assisted dying.
