Ahmed Kouchouk is an Egyptian economist and politician currently serving as the Minister of Finance of Egypt. Prior to his appointment, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies from 2016, where he played a pivotal role in negotiations with the International Monetary Fund. His extensive career includes serving as an economist at the World Bank in Cairo and holding various analytical roles within the Egyptian Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance. He holds a Master's degree from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of York.
