Kamel al-Wazir

Kamel al-Wazir is an Egyptian politician and military officer currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of Egypt, as well as the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Industry and Trade. A graduate of the Military Technical College, he previously served as the Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority from 2015 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has overseen major national infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the Suez Canal and the development of the New Administrative Capital. He was appointed Minister of Transport in 2019 and assumed his expanded ministerial and deputy prime ministerial roles in 2024.
