Aisha Ssekindi

Aisha Ssekindi is a Ugandan educator and politician currently serving as the Minister of State for Water and Environment and as the Woman Representative for Kalungu District in the Parliament of Uganda. A member of the National Resistance Movement, she has held her parliamentary seat since 2016 and previously served in various local government roles, including as a deputy Resident District Commissioner in several districts. Her career has included involvement in the Uganda Women Parliamentary Association and committee work on agriculture. In 2023, she was implicated in the Karamoja iron sheets scandal involving the misappropriation of government relief materials.
