遠藤彰良

Akiyoshi Endo is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tokushima City. Born in Ishii, Tokushima, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University before embarking on a long career as an announcer and executive at Shikoku Broadcasting. He entered politics in 2016, winning his first term as mayor. After losing his re-election bid in 2020, he successfully returned to office in the 2024 mayoral election. During his tenure, he has focused on municipal development and social policy, including the introduction of a partnership oath system for same-sex couples.
