Alejandra Barrales is a Mexican politician and lawyer who has held various high-level positions in government and legislative bodies. She began her career as a flight attendant and labor union leader for Aeroméxico before entering politics, where she served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Federal District, Secretary of Tourism for Mexico City, and Secretary of Education for Mexico City. A former president of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), she later joined the Citizens' Movement party. Throughout her career, she has served as a Senator of the Republic and was the 2018 candidate for Head of Government of Mexico City.
