Aleksander Jevšek is a Slovenian politician, lawyer, and former police official who currently serves as the Minister of Cohesion and Regional Development. A veteran of the Ten-Day War, he held various leadership roles within the Slovenian police force, including director of the Criminal Police Administration. He later transitioned into local politics, serving as the mayor of Murska Sobota from 2014 to 2022. In June 2022, he joined the government of Robert Golob to oversee strategic projects and regional development.
