Tanja Fajon

Tanja Fajon is a Slovenian politician currently serving as the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs. Before her appointment in 2022, she had a distinguished career as a Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2022, where she notably served as a rapporteur for visa liberalisation in the Western Balkans. A former journalist for RTV Slovenia, she led the Social Democrats party from 2020 to 2024. Throughout her political career, she has been a vocal advocate for European integration, human rights, and the rule of law.
