Alexandre Favaios is a Portuguese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Vila Real. Born in the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, he holds a degree in Psychology from the Instituto Superior da Maia and a master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. Before his election as a municipal councilor in 2021, he worked as a secretary supporting the local government. In 2026, he was elected to lead the local Socialist Party political commission.
