Ali bin Samikh Al Marri

Ali bin Samikh Al Marri is a Qatari politician and human rights expert currently serving as the Minister of Labour of Qatar, a position he has held since October 2021. Before his ministerial appointment, he chaired the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) of Qatar for over a decade and held leadership roles in various international human rights organizations, including the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions. His tenure as Minister of Labour has focused on labor market reforms, the protection of migrant workers, and strengthening cooperation with the International Labour Organization. He holds a Ph.D. in political science and has authored numerous research papers on human rights, democratic transition, and regional political challenges.
