Ali Midtimbang

Ali Musa Midtimbang is a Filipino politician currently serving as the first elected governor of Maguindanao del Sur. He previously served as the mayor of Talayan when the town was part of the undivided Maguindanao province. In the 2025 elections, Midtimbang ran under the United Bangsamoro Justice Party and defeated the acting governor, Mariam Mangudadatu, to secure his current position. He is known for his long-standing political career in the region and survived a grenade attack alongside his son in 2017.
