Allen Blackmon

Allen Blackmon is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina Senate for District 27, which encompasses parts of Chesterfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster counties. He secured his seat in the 2024 election after defeating incumbent senator Penry Gustafson in the Republican primary, a challenge motivated in part by his opposition to the state's abortion ban. Prior to his election to the state senate, Blackmon served as a Lancaster County Councilman. He currently serves on several legislative committees, including Banking and Insurance, Judiciary, and Transportation.
