Lee Bright

Lee Bright is an American politician currently serving as a member of the South Carolina Senate for the 12th district, a position he reclaimed in 2026 following a special election. He previously served in the same chamber from 2009 to 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Bright is known for his staunch fiscal and social conservatism, having advocated for policies such as constitutional carry, opposition to the Affordable Care Act, and the protection of religious liberties. Before his legislative career, he served on the Spartanburg School District Six Board and worked in the trucking and insurance industries.
