Alparslan Bayraktar

Alparslan Bayraktar is a Turkish engineer, academic, and politician currently serving as the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey since 2023. Prior to his ministerial appointment, he held various high-level positions, including Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Commissioner of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority. An expert in energy economics and policy, he has focused his career on energy supply security, the promotion of renewable energy, and the development of national energy strategies. He holds a PhD in Energy, Environmental Economics, and Policy from Middle East Technical University and has lectured extensively on energy security and policy.
