Ambrose Lwiji Lufuma is a Zambian politician, businessman, and economist currently serving as the Minister of Defence and as the Member of Parliament for the Kabompo constituency. Born in 1957 in Kawanda Village, he pursued studies in economics at the University of Zambia after completing his early education at Mpima Seminary and serving in the Zambia National Service. A long-time member of the United Party for National Development, he has represented Kabompo in the National Assembly since his first election in 2011. He was appointed to his current cabinet position by President Hakainde Hichilema in September 2021.
