Amit Samanta

Amit Samanta is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly representing the Amta constituency. He secured his seat in the 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election as a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party, defeating the incumbent Sukanta Kumar Paul by a margin of 4,454 votes. Samanta holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Calcutta, which he earned in 2010. He continues to represent his constituency as a member of the legislative body.
