Anandiben Patel

Anandiben Patel is an Indian politician currently serving as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh since 2019. A long-time member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, she previously served as the first female Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2014 to 2016 and held various cabinet portfolios in the Gujarat government, including Education and Revenue. Before her political career, she was a teacher and school principal. She has also served as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and is recognized for her early work in education reform and her commitment to public service.
