Andreas Babler is an Austrian politician who has served as the Vice Chancellor of Austria and Federal Minister for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport since March 2025. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), he has led the party as its federal chairman since June 2023. Previously, he served as the Mayor of Traiskirchen from 2014 to 2024 and as a member of the National Council. Known for his left-wing populist platform, Babler advocates for policies such as a 32-hour work week, wealth and inheritance taxes, and expanded citizenship rights.
