Before entering Parliament, he worked as a director of communications at Clarion Housing Group and was a prominent pro-European campaigner, founding the group Remain Labour. Throughout his political career, Lewin has advocated for closer cooperation with the European Union, electoral reform, and a two-state solution in the Middle East. He currently serves on the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee and chairs several all-party parliamentary groups.
