Andries Nel

Andries Nel is a South African politician currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development. A long-standing member of the African National Congress, he previously served in the National Assembly for 25 years and held various executive roles, including Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. Before his return to government in 2024, he worked in the office of the ANC secretary-general and was active in the South African Communist Party.
