Anja Haga

Anja Haga is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the acting mayor of Dantumadeel since November 2024. A member of the Christian Union, she previously served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2023 to 2024. Her earlier career includes serving as an alderperson in Arnhem and as a member of the Provincial Council of Friesland, where she was recognized for her work on sustainability and public policy. Trained as a clinical linguist, Haga has also held roles in the private sector and with the forestry organization Staatsbosbeheer, consistently integrating her Christian faith into her political and social commitments.
