Anne Stava-Murray

Anne Stava-Murray is an American politician serving as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 81st district. First elected in 2018 after defeating an incumbent, she assumed office in January 2019. A resident of Naperville, she previously served on the community’s Board of Fire and Police. Stava-Murray is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has focused her legislative work on committees related to education, human services, housing, and criminal justice. She briefly explored a run for the United States Senate in 2020 before deciding to focus on her state legislative duties.
