António Leitão Amaro is a Portuguese jurist and politician currently serving as the Minister of the Presidency in the XXIV Constitutional Government. A member of the Social Democratic Party, he previously served as a deputy to the Assembly of the Republic from 2009 to 2019 and as Secretary of State for Local Administration from 2013 to 2015. Educated at the University of Lisbon and Harvard Law School, he has held various academic and legal positions. Politically, he is known for his support of same-sex marriage and adoption rights.
